It is always a pleasure to eat here. The wonderful woman that owns this place, is so friendly and kind. Every time coming here is like coming home after a long absence. The food there is outstanding. We can't wait to go back.

I went in and ordered Kimchi fried rice because I thought I had seen it on the menu. The lady told me no and offered something different with the kimchi on the side and steamed rice and 4 packs of sides. She told me not to be scared of it and not to mix it all together but to eat it like a sandwich. This is the best food I’ve ever had in my entire life. It is so very yummy and I appreciate the honesty and helpfulness of the lady who took my order. I will be a returning forever customer! Even though I ordered to-go, the atmosphere was small, quiet, and friendly. The lady truly cares about her customers.

My SIL told me Galbiya in Springfield had excellent service and a broad selection of flavors and he was so right! My daughter took me their on Fathers Day and we will be going back at every chance when we can be in Springfield. The servers were very helpful answering our questions on portions, flavors, spice level and how to make the most of our delicious meal served on warm plates and at the perfect temperature. Such a great experience for Father’s Day. Oh, don’t let the plain store front throw you off, Galbiya is a hidden gem in Springfield. Don’t tell anyone you heard it from me.

I come to Springfield every once in awhile to run errands, and so many people here have told me to try this place out. And needless to say, I was not disappointed! Mrs. Rachel is the lovely lady who owns the restaurant. She greeted me warmly, went over the ingredients of my order with me, and gave me some tips on how to eat it properly to enhance the experience. I got the Soon Tofu Stew with Seafood and it was a total flavor blast! In addition, the sides were just as delicious and her kimchi is the best I've had (especially since it was my first time eating it). If you love Korean food or are trying it for the first time (like me), I would highly recommend this place. Thank you Mrs. Rachel for a pleasant experience and I will be back next time I come to Springfield.

I LOVED going to this Korean restaurant today - it was such a treat and so delighted with the level of service and the quality of the food! I have some food allergies and I was scared to eat here because of them - but the owner of the restaurant was SO kind and accommodating. She directed me what to order and came out with a special sauce just for me that was gluten-free, and made sure everything was safe for me to eat. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was quiet, calm, and peaceful. 11/10 will absolutely be coming back!!!

Absolutely delicious! Had the pork belly, galbi, bulgogi, and mandu dumplings. Flavors were spot on, loved it!! Want to go back ASAP! Will try the soups also next time. Owner was so polite and helpful. I wish this place was closer to where I live.

A post from someone else describing this restaurant as "a hidden gem" got me to try this restaurant. It truly is a hidden gem for delicious Korean food and friendly service. The mixed seafood pancake was fantastic and cooked perfectly (crunchy on the outside, and soft on the inside. The beef bulgogi and the spicy chicken bibimbap were also delicious. I will definitely be a returning customer and recommending this restaurant to others. And now adding to my original review: I went back later in the week for dinner so that my wife could try it. Delicious again! The spare ribs may be the best I have ever had--which explains why they are listed as number 1 on the menu. The kimchee boekkum was the perfect blend of spice and slight sourness. And the owners--so friendly.

What a treasure and to think it is in little Springfield. The best Korean food I’ve ever had, delicious, fresh, perfectly seasoned, generous portions. And run by a delightful woman who will educate you if you are unfamiliar and treat you like her best customer every time. You do not want to miss this delight.
